Top New Zealand recruitment agencies were honoured tonight at the seventh SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards (SARA’s).

The awards are determined by the popular vote of job seekers and this year a record number of votes were counted.

The 2009 SARA’s, supported by the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association, were presented at an exclusive cocktail event in Auckland where recruitment industry professionals were publicly acknowledged for their work.

The winners are:
Madison Recruitment - Large Generalist Recruiter
O’Neils Personnel - Medium Generalist Recruiter
Select Recruitment & HR - Small Generalist Recruiter
Geneva Health International - Large Specialist Recruiter
Parker Bridge - Medium Specialist Recruiter
Focus Recruitment - Small Specialist Recruiter
Potentia - IT Recruiter

‘SARA Legends’, which recognise recruiters who achieve consistent excellence in their respective categories for three years in a row, were also honoured at this year’s awards.

Current SARA Legends include Kelly Services, Alpha Recruitment and Retailworld Resourcing.

SEEK’s General Manager Annemarie Duff explains the significance of the awards in what has been a challenging year “when times are tough, we think recognition for a job well done is all the more meaningful. It’s been a hard year for the industry, and despite a turbulent employment market, these winning recruitment agencies have proven their commitment to exceptional levels of service.
