The best of New Zealand recruitment agencies have been honoured tonight at the eighth SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards (SARAs). Determined by the popular vote of Jobseekers the awards recognise those who go above and beyond for their clients delivering outstanding service and results.

The 2010 SARAs, supported by the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association, were presented at an exclusive event at the Hilton Hotel in Auckland where recruitment industry professionals were publicly acknowledged for their successes.

The winning agencies in each category are:

• Adecco Recruitment - Large Generalist Recruiter
• 1st Call Recruitment - Medium Generalist Recruiter
• Select Recruitment & HR - Small Generalist Recruiter
• Geneva Health - Large Specialist Recruiter
• Parker Bridge - Medium Specialist Recruiter
• Synergy Consulting - Small Specialist Recruiter
• Potentia - IT Recruiter

Two new agencies achieved "SARA Legend" status, which recognise recruiters who achieve consistent excellence in their respective categories for three consecutive years. Madison Recruitment and Focus Recruitment became Legends this year, joining Alpha Recruitment and Retailworld Resourcing in holding the coveted award.

Annemarie Duff, General Manager SEEK New Zealand, explains the significance of the awards in recognising how the recruitment industry has supported Jobseekers in a changeable employment market.
