Junior Sales Assistant
With 30 years of experience to back them, our clients take absolute pride in being a New Zealand owned & operated rural business. Fencing is a vital key to successful farming and our client took this to the next level by improving on traditional fencing products and developing ones that allowed for simpler stock management and an easier life for New Zealand farmers.
This is a full time temporary role covering early to mid-June; the length of the assignment is five days however this could be extended to 10 days for the right person.
In this role you will be helping set up a site for event purposes, arranging & transferring stock to the site and setting up sales displays. You will need to be a confident, customer focused person as you will be taking orders, processing sales and answering customer queries all while being one of the faces of the business.
We are looking for a physically fit, sales savvy person with a good understanding of the rural sector and in particular, knowledge around fencing. You will need to have a good head on your shoulders that can think on the fly and support customers with their queries. Ideally you will have farming experience and know how to talk the talk and walk the walk when your knowledge is put to the test.
Skills required are, but not limited to:
- Flexible can do attitude, quick thinker
- Rural retail experience (this would be IDEAL)
- Retail/sales experience with knowledge of electric fencing/farming
- Customer service experience is a must
To be successful in the role you need to be a non-smoker with a full licence and your own suitable transport.
