We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer who is experienced in 3 Waters. This is a key role in the team providing the opportunity to utilise your experience and progress your career into a leadership position.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of a high performing and competent team by using your proven technical skills and expertise.
The Design Team is responsible for the design of a variety of three waters utility works, roading projects (major and minor works), sportsgrounds and other civil engineering works throughout the City of Napier.
Your responsibilities will include managing and undertaking verification of designs and drawing and providing technical advice on infrastructure ensuring three waters/roading and other infrastructure designs meet appropriate industry standards.
To be successful you will bring:
A tertiary qualification in engineering (Civil)
A depth of experience in engineering, design, and engineering reviews in three waters, roading and other city infrastructure assets at a high technical level.
Proven ability to train/mentor other team members and create a positive team environment.
Knowledge of local authority infrastructure engineering, design and life cycle management principles and practices.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven stakeholder relationship skills
