My client is looking for a Policy Analyst Maori to join their small Policy and Research team. This role will have you work closely with the team in contributing to the policy set for this organisation. You will cast a Maori lens over the work that comes across your desk and work alongside your peers on making sure that the cultural capability is continuing to grow for the organisation. You will also provide ongoing analysis of the social, health and political environment from a Maori perspective as it relates to the strategic aims of the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will need to have in-depth knowledge of Tikanga Maori and be comfortable with Te Reo Maori. While you do not have to be fluent in Te Reo, a good understanding of the language will be essential. An excellent understanding of Te Tiriti O Waitangi and its application to social, health and political policy will also be key in this role.

If you have previous policy experience within the health sector, this could be the opportunity for you as this organisation works closely with frontline representatives.
