They are New Zealand’s trusted supplier of pumps, valves, packaged pump stations, oil/water separators and storm water treatment devices to all major industries in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. With 5 branches across the country and a new business opening soon, they are not slowing down.

The role:
The Company Account is a critical role within the senior management team based in Airport Oaks and requires an experienced, dedicated, and meticulous individual.
Responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyse financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

  • Compile and analyse financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Prepare financial management reports
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes
  • Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities
  • Monitor and support taxation requirements
  • Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the audit process
  • Collect and analyse financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, accounting for manufacturing processes, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar 
  • Knowledge of NetSuite ERP, XERO, and Microsoft Excel 
  • Knowledge of economic principles
  • Knowledge of auditing practices and principles
  • Intimate knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations in NZ, preferably with overview knowledge of AU as well
