Our client is a successful hotel based in Highbrook. Opened in 2013, they have 120 apartment rooms which consist of studios, one Bedrooms and two Bedrooms. In the central hub of East Tamaki business area, with more and more businesses popping on a continuous companies moving in.

We are looking for an experienced, flexible, keen and confident person to join our company, dealing with customers in their front of house reception for our Serviced Apartments with Duty Management responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Guest check ins and check outs
  • Handle reservation calls and make accurate reservations
  • Cash and credit handling
  • Assisting with guest inquiries and requests
  • Ensuring the hotel is running smoothly
  • Coordinate with other departments, particularly liaising with housekeeping
  • Customer/Pricing and sale skills
  • Coordination of supplies and deliveries

The successful applicant will be:

  • Demonstrate previous experience in front line Receptionist/Hotel role
  • Utilize available resources to provide excellent guest satisfaction
  • Well-presented, energetic and highly motivated
  • Intuitively understands customers’ needs
  • Proactive, confident and with a warm and friendly personality
  • Well organised, with the ability to multitask 
  • Thorough, accurate execution of business processes, reliable and dedicated
  • Able to work independently unsupervised and within a tight team
  • A quick learner and outcome focused
  • Have excellent English language skills both written and verbal
  • Be familiarised with using internet-based applications as well as experience with Microsoft Office

Hours of operation are:
Monday – Friday, 7AM – 8PM: Shifts are split of either 7AM – 3PM or 11AM – 7PM & 12PM - 8PM
Weekends and Public Holidays, 8AM – 4PM: Shifts are 8AM – 4PM including 24-hour on call Duty Service on Weekends (begins 8PM Friday – 7AM Monday morning) and during the week if required.
