Want to make a difference in your community?

The role | Mō te tūnga

Stats NZ has partnered with Madison and we’re excited to be recruiting Census Collectors to support the upcoming 2021 Census Test. During this important event, you’ll be responsible for getting out and about in your community. You’ll be on your feet, walking the streets going from door to door to deliver census materials. You’ll have the confidence to engage with respondents and have encouraging conversations with the community and provide the support required to make sure they can take part.

Our why

This important event is the vehicle that provides local councils, central government community groups, iwi and businesses to make informed decisions and plan for our future. These decisions directly influence you, your whanau and your community. Working within the Kirikiriroa (Hamilton) and Raahui Pookeka (Huntly) regions, these roles have a focus on improving response rates for Māori, Pacific and culturally diverse communities. Find out more about the Census test here: https://www.stats.govt.nz/news/updated-census-collection-model-to-be-tested-in-2021
