Procurement Professional – Specialist

About the Company:

Madison has partnered with a large NZ shared services provider who are currently experiencing positive change and growth within the procurement space. Our client expertly delivers finance and supply chain support within the health sector to multiple sites across the Auckland region.

About the Role:

You will support the procurement of clinical products & services guaranteeing best price and ensuring the needs of the clinical staff are met. There will be a focus on hard to acquire items that are in short supply.

Day to day you will:

  • Be responsible for supplier & customer relationship management
  • Take ownership of Planning, reporting & analysis
  • Monitor & manage supplier performance ensuring timeframes are met
  • Manage end to end procurement processes with an emphasis on tendering & supplier engagement

About You:

As a Procurement Professional you will have proven (ideally two or more years)  procurement experience within the health care sector or similar environment with demonstrated knowledge on end-to-end procurement processes and practices. Additionally, you will have the following competencies and skills:

  • Strong supplier and contract management skillset
  • Strong numerical aptitude and high-level financial literacy
  • Impeccable negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen
