Business Development Manager

Working for a multi-faceted family run business that has been servicing New Zealand for over 20 years and is slowly growing to offer a specialisation across civil construction, landscaping, and paving as well as having an outstanding reputation for providing quality construction of commercial outbuildings, alterations, and custom builds. You will be working for a business that prides itself on offering strong inhouse support and is motivated to deliver the best results for their clients.
Day to day you will be:

  • Meeting face to face with your customers
  • Sourcing new business opportunities
  • Developing a rapport for repeat business with existing customers
  • Achieving KPI’s set by the business
  • Seeing tender processes through from conception (with a strong awareness of being able to promote non priced attributes) through to post sale review (sometimes with long sales cycles)
  • Working closely with the internal projects team to deliver and promote the full suite of solutions in line with the customers’ needs
  • Focused on the construction and building sector especially for schooling, technical or specially designed projects

You are someone who has:

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or Territory Sales Representative
  • Experience monitoring and completing tender processes
  • A working knowledge of the government sector
  • Previous networks you can draw off in the New Zealand market
  • A positive attitude and a drive to be successful in a team focused environment
  • The ability to comfortably present to small groups
