About your role: As a Client Services Adviser you will serve our internal, external, and global customers.
 
Covid-19 has caused a lot of change within Immigration. Your role will see you get involved in some project work which is planned for February; focused around the opening of boarders, new services for how people will travel, changes to Immigration policies, and MIQ. 

Start Dates: 31st January, 14th February 
Hours: 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm or 12pm- 8pm or 2pm-10pm

Duration of contract: 6 Months 

Day to day you will: 

  • Provide a high level of customer service and immigration advice via phone, email, and other channels
  • Navigate various computer systems
  • Work in a structured, but supportive environment
  • Keep up to date with any changes around immigration policies and legislation

The purpose of your role will be to provide advice, guidance, and information to everyone you speak with. You may not always be able to help them, or see every person’s situation through to the end, but you will play a crucial role in providing them with best possible options and information based on their unique situation

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A passion for learning and a positive, pro-active approach to work
  • Composure under pressure
  • Resilience to work in an ever-changing, high-pressure environment, while taking care of people in highly challenging and stressful situations
  • Experience in a customer service environment (we are open to retail, hospitality, or office based experience)
  • The ability to give advice and information within a statutory framework and in a clear and impartial manner
  • The ability to learn and understand technical information quickly
  • Strong relationship building skills

This is not your average Contact Centre role. MBIE’s emphasis is on quality and one call resolution, so communication is key.
