People Advisor

This temporary position will give you exposure to all elements of a complex and multi-functional HR environment. We are looking for a People’s Advisor who can provide exceptional support to leaders and employees both over the phone and face to face.
 

About the role

In this role you will be learning every day, building upon the knowledge and skills you have to continuously grow. Working within a large government organisation you will be required to;

 

  • Provide HR support and advice to its employees
  • Processing requests from internal and external parties
  • Case management to ensure queries are handled efficiently and effectively
  • Investigate queries and liaise with a variety of departments including Talent Acquisition, L&D, Payroll, and H&S

About you

You will be a person of strong integrity who values discretion and is confident interacting with people from all walks of life. Essential skills and experience include:

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of NZ employment legislation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence to provide accurate and efficient support and advice
  • High level of initiative and proactivity
  • Comfortable using a variety of systems
