Located in the Auckland CBD for a fixed-term 12-month parental cover this is an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience and open doors for further opportunities within government.
 
About the Role:  
 
In this role you will lead the overall payroll function to ensure professional, timely and efficient payroll services to employees and stakeholders. You will be managing 5 direct reports and 18 indirect reports to process a large payroll function (7000+ employees) with multiple different collective agreements. You will also take the lead on an exciting systems upgrade. This is an opportunity to gain experience and credibility as one of the most reputable Payroll Managers in the Auckland region.
 
About You:
 

  • You will have leadership experience in a complex organisation.
  • Be a Payroll subject matter expert.
  • Experience coordinating a team to implement payroll or finance systems.
  • A solution focused mindset and an approachable can-do attitude.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • SAP experienced is preferred.
