We are excited to be recruiting a Management Accountant for a Crown owned charitable company. This is a reputable organisation who are striving to conserve New Zealand’s natural environment and protect native wildlife through the funding of large scale predator control and eradication projects and investing in breakthrough science solutions.
About the role:
The purpose of this role is to increase business capacity by supporting the wider organisation with financial reporting, stakeholder engagement, and compliance.
Located in the heart of the Auckland CBD for a fixed term 4-month contract, this is an exciting opportunity for a skilled accountant to broaden their experience with a growing organisation and open doors for future opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
- Generate key financial reports
- Ensure compliance with all legislative, regulatory, and monitoring agency requirements are met
- Internal and external stakeholder engagement
- Assist in collating and sense-checking data
- Collaborate with cross functioning teams on business projects
The ideal candidate:
- High written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (V-look ups, formulas, pivot tables, charts and dashboards)
- Knowledge of financial reports (PL statements, budgets, forecasting)
- Comfortable reviewing and reconciling data
- Confidence reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Time management, proactive planning, and organisational skills
About the team:
- Report to Head of Finance and Operations
- Join a finance team of 3 staff
